PrairieBaby Shake Off the Dust (Jaquinto)

Jaquinto is a 2001 baby from our Canadian love-girl Moudine  and rubber doll Thunderpaws Ransom. You can bend Jaquinto into the position you want him to be and he just hangs there - looking at you with loving eyes.

Of course beauty lays in the eyes of the beholder but we think Jaquinto is quite the impressive guy for an F2 and almost full foundation!!  Jaquinto has a long body and tail and weighed already 4 pounds with eleven weeks, which is great for a foundation cat. He has a nice coat and pattern and will develop into a moderate type.

Health Test Results:

Jaquinto will be tested for HCM, PKD and HD when he is old enough.

What's with the name?

Shake off the Dust has two meanings for us:

In old testament times, when the deciples went to different cities to preach the gospel, they were told that if people would not receive their message, not to waste their time, *shake the dust off their shoes* and move on. It might sound a bit far fetched at first, but the same philosophy can be applied to nowadays' foundation breeders. They are embassadors for a new concept, but often not received with open arms. We chose this name to encourage people to not worry if they will be accepted, but instead to follow their vision, move on and work with people who understand. Secondly, the name *Shake of the dust* is meant as a wake-up call for breeders in general to break through old traditions and try out new things for sake of the breed.
